Champagne house Le Brun – Servenay is the result of an alliance (read: marriage) of two very old Champagne families in 1965. (family Le Brun and family Servenay)
As growers and producers for four generations, the Champagne House Le Brun Servenay inherits a precious tradition, both based on years of knowledge of the terroirs (vineyards) and the control of wine making.
With the knowledge and experience of Gerard Le Brun and the modern vision of son Patrick, the Champagne House has a unique combination of tradition, innovation and modern approach in the continuous perfection of the Champagnes.
The basis for this continuous process can be traced to; a strict selection of the grapes, a deliberate low yield of the vines, which increases the quality and taste of the grape, respect for the soils and terroirs, a more responsible wine-making process with longer storage in the cellars and above all, the passionate commitment to create champagnes with the highest possible quality. This results in a modest number of approximately 50,000 bottles of very high quality Champagne per year!
Vineyard
The Le Brun and Severnay vineyards are located in the heart of the prestigious “Côte des Blancs”
In three Grand Cru villages (Avizé, Oger and Cramant) as well as on the surrounding hills. The total area of vines is composed of 80% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Noir and 10% Pinot Meunier grapes and covers 17 hectares.
The limestone clay soil, the drainage of the land, as well as the average age of the vines, the oldest of which are 80 years old, gives the Le Brun Servenay Champagne a potential of minerality, freshness and excellence.
Taking care of the vineyard is done with respect for the characteristics and identity of the terroirs. This is passed on to every generation within the exclusive Champagne House Le Brun Servenay.
With the Champagne house Le Brun Servenay, De Leidse Fles has an undiscovered gem in it’s assortment!
